My Story

My latest "injury" is a hip flexor strain/tendonitis. It happened about 5 weeks ago, with noticable tightness in my left hip after a spinning class. Since then I have tried everything I know to do to help it, but it has lingered...ice, heat, rest, stretching, wrapping, pain patches, anti-inflammatories, steriods...The doc thought PT might be helpful, but unfortunately, I cannot afford it. I may try massage at some point.

What I've learned so far

I take on too much, too soon! Removing the pain does not necessarily help, if the source has not been dealt with! When I expect too much of myself, I set myself up for failure..
