Mark is currently the EVP/CFO of Campus Advantage, the largest third-party manager of student housing in the nation. He is the former CFO for American Campus Communities (NYSE: ACC) and led that company through their most significant period of pre-IPO growth, culminating in the company's initial public offering as a REIT in August 2004. Previously, Mark also served as Vice President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Oklahoma Christian University and Vice President, Corporate Controller for Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Mark is a CPA licensed in Texas and has held positions in the assurance practices of Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton and Price Waterhouse. Mark holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Abilene Christian University.

Mark serves on the Board of Trustees and as chair of the Finance Committee of the Board for Brentwood Christian School (www.brentwoodchristian.org) the largest private school in Austin Texas. Mark is Executive Director for Casa Sonrisa, Inc. (www.CasaSonrisa.Org), a domestic 501 (c)3 providing Christian childcare in Torreon Mexico. Mark also is active in medical missions provided through Olive Branch Ministries (www.olivebranchministries.org). Additionally, Mark serves on the Board of Directors for Provenio Group, an Austin Texas based start-up, who’s web based product Leaps (www.goleaps.com) is a research-based, practical program that improves behavior, grades, and attendance in K-12 education and juvenile justice environments. With a comprehensive library of lessons and powerful, interactive assessments tools, Leaps provides educators and interventionists with customized, actionable plans to improve social and emotional skills for any youth.

Mark and his wife Tere have three children, Jackson, Joshua and Corrie and worship with the Westover Hills church of Christ.
