Goal accomplished! I had a GREAT ride. Mostly all good, a couple of negatives (some hard, cold, windy rain, and a flat in those cruddy conditions. Oh yeah, and saddle sores for the first time!). But I felt reasonably strong and upbeat about all the time over the 4 days and 412+ miles. God is good!
Next up: Ironman, September, 2012, during my 50th year.

Just finished 3.2 miles - also signed for the Cap10k. Investigated triathalon training programs. Any of you Triathletes have a recommendation? Self guided program or a training group? Thanks

Today I plan to select a tri training plan and register for my next race. Oh, and I'll actually run - been a while - this should be fun

I finished my 1st marathon almost 3 months ago. As I crossed the finish line, I thought - I'll never do that again, and I might not ever run again. It took me about 2 weeks to start thinking about what had gone right and what had gone wrong during my 1st marathon, and planning on how could do better next time. So there may be another marathon lurking in my future! But my next goal is my first triathalon. Ive only ridden my bike once since the accident, not an enjoyable experience with a titanium screw through my pelvis. With the encouragement from my friend Dr. Brad Fullerton, I decided not to throw in the towel quite yet. Two weeks ago I went to Nelo's on Mesa in Austin and was fitted for a new seat. Today I picked my triathalon goal. The Austin Triathlon @ Auditorium Shores, Austin, TX, USA Monday, September 06, 2010. Let the festivities begin!
